The Rallye Sierra Morena has been the first of the S-CER 2023 and therefore the debut of the Rallycar Team with the new Hyundai i20N Rally2 driven by Javier Pardo and Adrián Pérez.
The fifth position is a well-deserved result for a weekend of learning in which a puncture has overshadowed a remarkable performance of the driver from Ourense.
More than two minutes lost in the third section of the rally were a burden and at the same time a motivation to keep improving and, section by section, to climb up positions.
After the 170 timed kilometres, Javier was satisfied with the result in his first contact with the Hyundai: “I’m happy with the result, although we still don’t understand the car very well. There is still a lot of work to do, but there is also room for improvement, so it was very good. It was a very good job from Adrián as always, and from the whole team, who had a very complete week. Now we are going to work to get to the next rally a bit better prepared”.
With a very spectacular driving, Javier has been one of the most applauded by the fans and his images have become the most watched of the weekend. Despite this, he has achieved times among the best and has managed, together with the team, to improve different aspects of the car so that the MRF tyres work at their best.
The next round of the competition will be on dirt, in the Region of Murcia with the Rallye Tierras Altas de Lorca.
