A new ERC2 meeting and a new victory for Javier Pardo and Adrián Pérez, a triumph that allows them to consolidate the lead in the category with two rounds to go.
Fafe was a very complicated rally, especially in the stage held on Saturday when the rain and fog left the sections in a very delicate situation as the mud and the ruts in the second passes made it difficult to drive through them. In these tough conditions, the Suzuki Swift R4LLY S proved once again their reliability.
Joan Vinyes and Jordi Mercader joined their team-mates on the podium, and together they achieved the best possible result for the Suzuki team. On Sunday, without rain and with a road surface in better conditions, both Javier/Adrián and Joan/Jordi flew through the stages to bring their gap to the third classified, Dmitry Feofanov, to more than 4 minutes.
For Juan López Frade, “We already knew this rally when we did it last year in the Portuguese Championship and we knew it was tough, but this edition was even tougher, especially yesterday. However, I leave Fafe very proud, as the only cars in our category that were able to finish were three Suzuki Swifts, proof of the proberbial toughness of our product.”
